QABEELAH HISTORY 

AlMaghrib Institute classes were introduced in Columbus, Ohio on March 19th 2005. Qabeelat Hayl was the name assigned to the representative AlMaghrib student body in Columbus, Ohio. Alhamdulillah, we were blessed with the opportunity to have the following classes at our location: The Code Evolved: Evolution of Fiqh, The Purification Act, and finally the Light of Guidance. This influx of classes came to an abrupt halt when we were informed that the AlMaghrib classes would cease to be offered in Columbus. Alas, Qabeelat Hayl was no more.

Did the knowledge seeking end there? By Allah, it did not.

THE QABEELAH ON WHEELS

Without letting distance stand in their way, the students of Hayl have traveled +8 hour distances for seminars in New Jersey and Maryland, as well as nearby states such as Michigan and Indiana.

A year ago, we had found ourselves abruptly locked out of AlMaghrib. Suddenly, we had never wanted anything more. Since then, dedicated students have been traveling from one location to another taking various AlMaghrib classes, eager for the beneficial knowledge, which will inshaaAllah benefit them in this life and the next. The doors of success may have been closed by our mishaps, perhaps it was that we overlooked such a blessing and took it for granted. However, we wish to open wide the doors of success.

Wishing of a day when we can host a seminar as the revived Qabeelat Hayl, the Columbus Muslim community continues to patiently wait, and thus we continually ask:
